
GREENSBORO Carolyn Kathleen Kohler, 69, of Greensboro, passed away June 14, 2012, after several long battles with cancer.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m., Monday, at George Brothers Funeral Service.
Carolyn was born August 9, 1942, in Guilford County to the late Earl and Lyda Highfill. She was retired from Terminix after 18 years of service and also worked part-time for six years for the Richard Petty Museum. She helped to organize The Greensboro Insurance Women's Golf Tournament which helped to raise money for cancer research organizations. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carolyn is survived by her longtime companion and best friend, Fred Baum of the home; her children, Ben "Jamie" Middleton (Vickie) of Randleman and Lori Middleton-Sizemore (Bryan) of Kernersville; her sisters, Deanne Way of Greensboro and Bonnie Davis (Vance) of Randleman; her brother, David Highfill (Janet) of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Ashley Middleton Wilson (Jeff) of Hickory, Heather Middleton Presnell (Dennis) of Greensboro, Brian Middleton of Greensboro, Chloe Sizemore and Cooper Sizemore both of Kernersville and her great grandson, Ian Wilson of Hickory.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
