GREENSBORO — Mr. Andrew Lawrence Carter, 80, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Beacon Place.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Shannon Hills Bible Chapel with Mark Shelley officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mr. Carter was born April 4, 1932, in Guilford County to the late Hurley Davidson and Nellie Colleen Livengood Carter. He was a member of Shannon Hills Bible Chapel and was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1954 until 1956.
Survivors include his children, Tammy and Patrick Mills, Jennifer and Bryan Hiller, all of Greensboro, Jeremy and Shannon Carter of High Point, Cindi and Ron Schwenk of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a special, loving friend, Jerry Pegram of Greensboro.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the church.
