GREENSBORO — Mrs. Joe Ann Wright Crews, of Greensboro, NC formerly of South Hill, Virginia, passed away on March 12, 2013 after many years if declining health.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery in Liberty, NC.
Joe Ann was born in Burlington, NC to the late Joe and Pearl Wright on June 1, 1934. She attended E.M. Holt High School and graduated from Elon College (now Elon University) in 1958. Joe Ann taught Business Education at Various Schools in NC & VA over the years.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Charles G. Crews, JR, sisters, Sally Skidmore (Jim) and Carolyn McDuffie (Tyrone), sister-in-law Barbara Lacy (Bill) and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by an infant son.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave. Greensboro, NC 27405
The Family would like to thank the staff at Beacon Place and Pennybyrn at Maryfield for their compassionate and dedicated care to Joe Ann.
The Family will receive friends and family following the graveside service at the Church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Funeral Home is serving the Crews family.
