ABERDEEN — Martha Robbins Pierce, 65, of Aberdeen died Thursday January 31, 2013 at her home. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday February 4, Page Memorial United Methodist Church.
Born March 28, 1947 in Moore County, she was a graduate of Salem College in Winston-Salem and Mississippi State School of Nursing. She worked as an OR nurse at Medical Park Surgical Clinic in Winston-Salem for over 21 years. She was preceded in death by her father J.C. Robbins and her brother Joseph C. Robbins.
Survived by her son Lonny F. Pierce of Raleigh, daughter Robbin R. Pierce of London, England, her mother Jean S. Robbins of Aberdeen, two sisters Alice R. Howard of Scarsdale NY, Edith R. Glenn of Edgewater, MD and a sister-in-law Lauren Robbins of Chapel Hill.
