KERNERSVILLE — David W. Reich, Sr. passed away peacefully January 31, 2013 at his home in Kernersville, NC. Services to celebrate David's life will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Pisgah United Methodist Church in Kernersville.

David was born in Winston-Salem on June 9, 1923. He proudly served in WWII as a B-24 bomber pilot. After the war he returned to Winston-Salem and married the love of his life, Pauline Wilson Reich. Married for 62 years she preceded him in death in 2008.

David retired from Roadway Express after a long career in management and sales. After retirement, he became an independent sales agent and then set up his own freight brokerage office.

He is survived by his son, David Jr. and his wife Claudia; four grandchildren, Carrie Little, David III, Peter and Will; seven great-grandchildren, Ellie, Olivia, Georgia, David IV, Simeon, Josephine and Pauline.

David lived a full and happy life, especially his last few years with those who loved and cared for him.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in his honor to Hospice of Winston-Salem.
