YANCEYVILLE Mrs. Nannie Florence Lea Belpree, 101, of 118 Watertank Drive, Yanceyville, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Yanceyville.
She was born June 19, 1911 to the late Thomas S. Lea, Sr. and Julia Hill Lea in Yanceyville, N.C. She was a member of Pearson chapel A.M.E. where she served as a willing worker. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Belk Leggett Store in Danville for many years.
In addition to her parents and her husband, the late William Belpree, she was preceded in death by one brother, Tommie Lea, Jr., three sisters; Martha L. Little, Eleanor Williamson, Sallie L. McKay, and three nephews, Thomas Little, Roy Little and Walter Lea Williamson.
Survivors are: one sister, Melba (Alyvn) Bellmar of Cleveland, Ohio; one niece Emma Lois W. Monroe of Blanch, N.C.; three nephews, Billy A. Lea of Fayetteville, NC, Julius (Eileen) Williamson of Mebane, NC and Julian (Yvonne) Williamson of Yanceyville NC; great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, family friend, Melvin Jefferies of Yanceyville; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Mrs. Nannie Florence Lea Belpree will be Monday, January 28, 2013, 11 a.m. at Pearson Chapel A.M.E. Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Paul Robinson will deliver words of comfort.
Family visitation will be Monday, January 28, 2013, 10 a.m. at the church.
Viewing will be Sunday evening from 2 to 8 p.m. at Fulton Funeral Home Chapel, Yanceyville, NC.
