GREENSBORO — Mrs. Jessie M. Shields, 76, of Eden, went home to be with the Lord of Wednesday, January 16, 2013 with her daughter by her side.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at Morning Star Baptist Church in Eden where she was a member. Burial will be in Hamlin Cemetery. Jessie left Eden and resided in Brooklyn, NY until retiring from Chase Manhattan Bank and returning to Eden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene W. Shields. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Eugenia W. Reeves (David) and two grandchildren all of Eden, sister-in-law Michele Johnson (adopted daughter), one niece and one nephew all of Virginia Beach, VA, and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Monday at the church.
