SUMMERFIELD — Miss Minnie Lou Hudson, 77, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Moses Cone Hospital.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, at Liberty Wesleyan Church with Rev. Danny Janes officiating. Burial will follow in the Glencoe United Methodist Church Cemetery.

A Rockingham County native, Minnie was born on September 3, 1935, the daughter of the late Henry Clay Hudson, Sr. and Olga Strader Hudson. She was retired from P. Lorillard Co and attended Liberty Wesleyan Church. Minnie's family was of utmost importance to her, and she was loved by all of her friends and family.

Surviving are her brothers H. C. Hudson, Jr (Louise) of Stokesdale and Bud Hudson (Sarah) of Kernersville; sisters Peggy Fine of Greensboro, Gale Lee (Rick) of Oak Ridge, Sue Lemons of Summerfield, Roxie Williams (Jimmy) and Kitty Strickland (Ray) all of Stokesdale, and Pamela Tucker (Chuck) of Summerfield; as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Ruby Hudson, mother who raised her Ruby Hudson, and sisters Margie Parrish and Celia H. Tuttle.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, at Liberty Wesleyan Church, and other times at the home of her sister Pamela, 140 Ruby Lane, off of Hudson-James Road.
