
GIBSONVILLE Mrs. Reva Clifton Key, 95 of Gibsonville passed away Monday January 7, 2013 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Reva was born in Stuart, VA in 1917 to the late Amos & Anna Cruise Clifton. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and a master seamstress. Mrs. Key was also know in her community for her great baking and cooking ability. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a great friend.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Reuben W. Key of the home, children, Marie Fishel (Rossie Sr.) of McLeansville, Billy Key (Karen) of Mocksville, Martha Capps (Richard Jr.) of Brown Summit, Sue Bason of Greenville, SC, Kathy Currie (Mickey) of Gibsonville, Roger Key (Dee) of Siler City, Julie Cooke of Whitsett, sisters, Minnie Mitchell of Summerfield, Bertha Blackard, Lucy Nowlin, and Cora Ann Hazelwood all of Stuart, VA and a brother Thomas Clifton (Gayle) of Ararat, VA, brother-in-law John Key and sister-in-law Minnie Key Jackson (Norris), 27 grandchildren , 39 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces , nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Nellie Clifton, Dora Hawkins, Elma Hazelwood and Clarice Dempsey.
The Family will receive friends just prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
