GREENSBORO — Mr. Porter Donald (Don) Tuttle, 83, of Greensboro, died Friday, January 04, 2013 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Powell Tuttle, his parents, Porter Allen and Ruby Simpson Tuttle and a sister, Margaret Tuttle Robinson.

Visitation and Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Summerfield, 2300 Scalesville Rd. with Rev. Richard Odom officiating. Interment will follow at the church.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. followed by the service at 11 a.m. Reception will follow interment.

Mr. Tuttle was a member of First Baptist Church of Summerfield. He retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company in 1992 after 34 yrs. of service. He was a US Air Force veteran and served in the Korean War. He loved country music and enjoyed playing his guitar. Baseball was his sport to watch on television and he was an avid hunter and gardener.

He is survived by three daughters, Barbara Tuttle Stone and husband Alton R. Stone of Archdale, Marilyn Tuttle of High Point and Kathy Jo Tuttle of Greensboro, two brothers, Jay C. and Robert A. Tuttle, one grandchild, Tonya Buchanan, and two great-grandchildren, Sierra Jacobs and Andrew Buchanan.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Summerfield Bldg Fund.
