GREENSBORO Eleanor Gendron Tourville, 92, of Greensboro, NC, formerly of Springfield, MA and Fitchburg, MA, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Well Spring Retirement Center.
She was born November 18, 1920, the daughter of the late Clement Gendron and the late Alice McGinnis Gendron in Berlin, NH. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Philip Tourville and brother Clement Gendron, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Greensboro, NC. Interment will be at Westminster Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church.
Eleanor was a homemaker whom liked giving of her time to help other people. She was a longtime Red Cross Blood Drive Volunteer as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Guilford College Fire Department. She loved camping with her Husband, Leonard and was a member of the Carolina Cardinals Camping Club. She is survived by her sisters Ann G. Lepkowski and Louise G. Dyment and husband William, children, Richard L. Tourville and wife Eileen, Claire Tourville Talbot, and James E. Tourville and wife Bonnie, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
