HIGH POINT — Mrs. Mary Rita McMahon Boylan, 94, a resident of Pennybyrn at Maryfield died Monday November 12, 2012 at High Point Regional Hospital. Mrs. Boylan was born August 19, 1918 in Richmond, VA the daughter of Michael Ferrall McMahon and Mary Bamberger McMahon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Emmett Boylan on January 13, 1983.
Surviving are three sons; Terrence "Terry" Boylan and wife Harriett of Raleigh, Edward "Eddie" Boylan of Greensboro, Michael "Mickey" Boylan and wife Tammy of High Point. Grandchildren include: Christopher Michael Boylan and Brandon Michael Boylan of High Point, Alexander Joseph "AJ" Boylan of Greensboro and Eva Elizabeth Boylan and Mary Lindsay Boylan of Raleigh. Special friends of Eddie and the family include Nikki, Casey and Jordan Corbett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in High Point by Father Vincent Smith, OSFS. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
