CHARLOTTE — Bobbie Dixon, 78, of Charlotte, passed away early Friday morning, October 19, 2012.
Born in Ridgeway, VA, she and her devoted husband, Herbert W. Dixon, celebrated their fiftyfourth wedding anniversary this past June 7.
In October 1994, Bobbie retired from the Federal Reserve Bank in Charlotte.
She was a true friend, loving and caring wife and mother, and proud "Mimi".
In addition to her husband, Herbert, her immediate family includes their children, Helen Saxon, and her husband, Matthew, Kelly Dixon, and John Dixon, and his wife, Susan; her sisters, Christine Porter, Wanda Reynolds, and Sunshine Gauldin; her brothers, Phillip Price and Billy Price; and her grandchildren, Alexander Dixon and Cara Dixon.
The family will gather from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012, in the sanctuary of Carmel Presbyterian Church, 2048 Carmel Rd. Charlotte, NC, 28226, to greet friends. A service in celebration of Bobbie's life will begin at 3 p.m. Committal will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
