
THOMASVILLE Mrs. Betty Lunsford King Todd, 75, a resident of Bish Court, died Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the home of her son, Coy. She was born on March 12, 1937 in Yadkin County, NC to Dennis Lunsford and Leona Pardue Lunsford. She worked at Parkdale Mills for 20+ years and attended Thomasville Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coy King in August 1971; sister, Denny Lou Buelin; and grandson, Coy L. King, Jr. in January 1997.
Surviving are three sons, Coy L. King of Thomasville, Charlie D. King of Lexington, and Rickey L. King of Lexington; daughter-in-laws, Sissie King of Lexington and Evonda King of Thomasville; former husband and best friend, William G. Todd of Paris, TX; four grandchildren, Kelly L. King Andrews, Dennis L. King, Katie I. King, and Heather L. King Williams; and five great-grandchildren, Devin King, Kamryn King, Bryce Williams, Cayden Turner, and Starla King.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Thomasville Church of God with Rev. Alan Greene and Rev. Richard King officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Todd will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at other times at the home of her son, Coy, 516 Lakeview Drive, Thomasville.
