
RICHMOND, VA Helen Parker Bradshaw passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in Richmond, VA. A devoted Richmonder, she loved the beauty and history of the city.
She was a true pioneer throughout her life. She was the first female account executive with WLEE Radio for many years. She spoke about her time there with great joy and pride.
She later moved to West Virginia for a short time where she was again a pioneer by becoming the first woman to own a Charles Chips business.
After returning to Rich- mond she was a trend setter by owning a dry cleaning business.
She is survived by her children, JoAnna Bennett of Greensboro, NC, and de- voted son-in-law, Frank, son Sherod Dale of San Diego, CA, and son Charles Michael of Richmond. Her loving daughter Helen Elizabeth predeceased her.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Loren Frank Bennett of Raleigh, NC, Christopher Hale and his wife Traci of Ashville, NC, granddaughter Allison Jean and grandson Michael George, both of San Diego, CA. A kind and caring sister, Margaret Sue Parker of Richmond will also cherish her memory.
There are many loving nieces and nephews, all who have great Aunt Helen stories. The family wishes to thank the staff at Lexington Court for the loving, caring attention they gave Mrs. Bradshaw.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517, Topeka Kansas, 66675.
A memorial service will be held at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The family will receive friends after the service.
