REIDSVILLE — Pauline Roach "Polly" Tillotson, 91, of 733 Russell Ave. Reidsville, N.C. went to be with her Lord Sunday August 26, 2012 at Annie Penn Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday August 29, 2012 at Reidsville Christian Church. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.
A native of Draper, NC, she was a daughter of the late Charlie B. and Lillie Powell Roach and had lived most of her life in Rockingham County. She attended Reidsville High School and graduated in 1940. She furthered her education at the Wooten Business College. Mrs. Tillotson was a faithful member of Reidsville Christian Church, where she attended the Fidelis Sunday School Class and participated in Circle #2. She was a member of the Matron Garden Club, Northwood Home Extension Club (charter member), and the American Legion Auxiliary. She worked many years as a substitute teacher in the Reidsville City School System, and was a guide at Chinqua Penn Plantation for 9 years. Polly was a well known cook and enjoyed catering for many years. She was preceded in death by her late husband L.G. "Hank" Tillotson and a brother Carl Roach.
Survivors include sons: Charles G. Tillotson and wife Judy of Reidsville, NC, Donald L. "Donnie" Tillotson of Reidsville, N.C., daughter: Paula Tillotson-Sanchez and husband Jose of Reidsville, NC, grandchildren: Stacy P. Tillotson of Charlotte, NC, and Bryson Tillotson of Reidsville, NC
The family will see friends 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Wednesday August 29, 2012 before the service at Reidsville Christian Church and at other times will be at the residence.
