WINSTON-SALEM Mrs. Suzanne Goodwin Kaley Long, 89, passed away August 17, 2012 at Arbor Acres Retirement Community.
She was born January 28, 1923 in Licking Co., OH to the late Carey Goodwin and Helen Ingman Goodwin.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Dudley Kaley and David Marvin Long. Mrs. Long is survived by her children, Dr. James Kaley and wife Martha of Greensboro, Jan Kaley and wife Susan of High Point, and Jeff Kaley and wife Renee of Lexington; grandchildren, Dr. Mark Kaley and wife Lorin of Greensboro, J. Christian Kaley of Greensboro, Shannon Kaley Earl and husband Oliver of High Point, Jennifer Kaley Mize and husband David of Baltimore, MD; great-grandchildren, Laney and Harper Kaley, Henry, Abigail, and Madeline Earl, and Kaley Mize; step-family, Jeff Long and wife Pam of Pittsburgh, PA, and their daughters Julie, Sandy, and Beth, Kevin Conroy and wife Wendy of Beaufort, SC, Lance Wormick and wife Laura of Charlotte, and their daughter Eleni, Kevin Wormick, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Charlotte, and their daughter Leah, Chris Fogle and wife Leigh of Houston, TX, and their children, Emme and Ben.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Arbor Acres Fellowship Hall with the Rev. Tom King officiating.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kenneth S. Karb for his compassionate care.
