
GREENSBORO Mrs. Imogene Ladd Zuydwegt, died Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Clapps Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at George Brothers Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Patrick Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Zuydwegt was born in Kinston, TN to the late Ernest Alvin and Genettie Caudle Ladd.
She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church, and the Wyman Cockman Couples Sunday School Class. She was retired from Kraft Foods and after her retirement, volunteered her time with Hospice for over 15 years. In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Woody; sister, Lydia Crowe; brothers, Ralph, Clarence and Boyd Ladd; and her second husband, John Zuydwegt.
Survivors include her son, Curtis Woody of Greensboro, daughter, Cindy Emerson of Durham; grandchildren, C.J. Woody (Jennifer), Christina Woody, Dusti Power (Tim), Daniel Emerson; great grandchildren, Leah and Ayden Woody, Keelan, Jackson and Finn Power; sister, Betty Whitten of Indian Trail, NC; brothers, R.W. Ladd (Edith), Avery Ladd (Becky), all of Kingston, TN; sisters-in- law, Betty Ladd of Kingston, TN and Ginger Ladd of Belmont, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews. Also surviving are step-daughter, Carol Dean; step grandchildren, John Roberts (Alison), Christy McHenry (Steve); step great grandchildren, Gabriel and Logan Roberts, Cameron and Cassie McHenry.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
