GREENSBORO — Mrs. Patricia Ellen Hawkins Davenport, 82, passed away Thursday morning, August 9, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 3 p.m. at George Brothers Funeral Service with Bill Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Gilmore Memorial Park.
Mrs. Davenport was born May 2, 1930 in Huntingdon, TN to the late Jean and Eugenia Ivey Hawkins. She was a member of North Jackson Church of Christ in Jackson, TN where she lived most of her life until she and her late husband of 55 years, Paul Davenport were moved to Greensboro to be cared for by her daughter and son-in-law. She was a loving wife and mother, as well as an extraordinary homemaker who enjoyed gardening and growing beautiful flowers.
Patricia is survived by her son, Robert Hugh Davenport; daughter, Paula Davenport Regensburg, and husband Ed; and three siblings, Don Hawkins, Emma Gene Forsythe, and Louise Gregory.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
