REIDSVILLE —
Melanie went home to be with Jesus on June 27 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Surviving are husband, Jeff, children Jennifer, Jeffrey and Jackie (Andrew), grandchildren Caleb and Ariel, sister Sherry Pigott, brothers Hershel (Nancy), Guy (Shelly) and Brian and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Melanie was born in Pompano Beach, Florida to the late Elbridge Herschel and Thelma Louise Hisler Barfield.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 1 at 2 p.m. at Main Street UMC in Reidsville.
The family will have an open house at the home from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 30.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Greensboro or Main Street UMC Building Fund.
