REIDSVILLE — Opal Vaughn Jones, 92, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Countryside Manor in Stokesdale.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Lyle Milligan officiating.
Mrs. Jones was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late John Marshall and Margaret Flanagan Vaughn and was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Baptist Temple Church and a member of the Home Demonstration Club. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Jones, Jr.; son, J.R. Jones and great grandson, Miles Dotson.
Survivors include her son, Roger Jones and wife, Betty of Reidsville; her daughter, Ann Mock and husband, Tom of Asheville; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Susan Lindsey of Richmond, Va. and brother-in-law, Paul Jones of Hillsville, Va.
There will be no formal visitation. Wilkerson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
