GREENSBORO — Albert Eugene Stockard, 90, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Blumenthal Jewish Nursing Center.
A 2 p.m. Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Westminster Gardens Cemetery.
Albert was born October 30, 1921 to the late Charles Ashby and Hattie Love Stockard in Burlington, NC. Albert worked for the Greensboro ABC board for 31 years. He was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a Mason at the Guilford Lodge No. 656 for 66 years.
In addition to his parents Mr. Stockard was preceded in death by his son Robert Ferrell Stockard; sister, Edna Causey and brother Don Stockard
Albert is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alice F. Stockard; son, Charles Albert Stockard and wife Lynn; sisters, Shirley Brantley and Louise Ross; grandchildren, Bobbi Curtis, Erin Stockard, Rob Stockard, and Amy Stockard; great-grandchildren, Jessie Curtis and Blake Curtis; and step-grandchildren, Maggie Brown and Evan Brown.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2900 North OHenry Boulevard Greensboro, NC 27405.
