BARRY O. RUSSELL

CANDOR — Mr. Barry O. Russell age 64 of Candler NC, passed away June 6, 2012 at the John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville.

Mr. Russell was born in High Point NC to Chauncey "Rusty" Russell and the late Mary Russell. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step mother Wanda Russell. He was retired from Atlantic Southeast Air Lines; he enjoyed golfing and was a starter at Broadmoor Golf Links. He was currently a member at Blue Ridge Christian Church in Mills River NC, and a former member of Laurel Oak Christian Church in High Point. He is survived by his father who resides in Stokesdale NC; his wife Susan W. Russell of Candler NC; brothers Allen Russell of Ohio, and Jeff Cockman of High Point, NC.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Blue Ridge Christian Church, with a service to follow at 7 p.m.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Davis at Floral Gardens Funerals and Cremations. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Floral Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Christian Church at 147 Oren Drive Mills River, NC 28759.
