GREENSBORO — Mr. William Mark "Bill" Collier, 70, of Greensboro, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at St. Francis Episcopal Church with The Reverend Michael Moulden officiating. Committal services will be held April 25, 2012 at North Little Rock State Veterans Cemetery, Arkansas.

Mr. Collier, a native of Tupelo, Arkansas and raised in Little Rock, was the son of Joseph Mark Collier and Juanita Frances Massey Collier. He was a graduate of Arkansas State University and a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church and the Roustabouts. Mr. Collier retired from AT&T after more than 20 years as a financial manager and also retired from Sara Lee as a systems analyst. He was an avid reader, enjoyed wood working, spent a lot of time traveling and loved being with his grandchildren.

Mr. Collier is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Frances Collier, their children, Charles Patrick Collier and wife, Missy of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Leigh Richardson and husband, John of Syracuse, New York, brothers, Darrell Collier and wife, Linda of Leander, TX, Richard Collier and wife, Connie of San Antonio, TX and grandchildren; Lily Anne Collier, William Cayden Collier, Samuel Patrick Richardson and Avery Rose Richardson.

The family will receive friends at the church parish hall after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church, 3506 Lawndale Dr., Greensboro, NC 27408 or to the Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Rd., Suite 100, Silver Spring, MD, 20910.
