MAYODAN — Zach Martin, 20, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 17, 2012.

A 2 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the Ray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Atkins and Rev. Bruce Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Mayodan Municipal Cemetery.

A Rockingham County native, Zach was born July 10, 1992, the son of John Samuel and Ginger Booth Martin. He was a 2010 graduate of McMichael High School, attended Rockingham Community College and was Manager of Subway at Walmart. Zach was a wonderful son, a very loving person with a beautiful smile that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Zach was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Grover and Molene Martin.

Zach is survived by his parents, Sammy and Ginger Martin of the home; brother, Sam Martin of the home; maternal grandparents, Buddy and Karen Booth of Stoneville and Sybil Smith of Stoneville; great-grandmother, MeMa Nance of Stoneville; aunt and uncle, Chris and Penny Horn of Eden; two special dogs, Gizmo and Oscar and lots of special friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at Ray Funeral Home and other times at the family home.
