MADISON — Wayne Douglas Flynt, 73, of 195 Running Cedar Road, died Wednesday,

January 9, 2013, at home.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Jessup and Reverend William Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.

Born in Stokes County on August 21, 1939, Wayne was a graduate of Pine Hall High School. He retired from Unifi, Inc. with 44 years of service and attended First Baptist Church of Mayodan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Bascom Flynt and a brother, Larry Flynt.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Brim Flynt, of Madison; wife, Shirley Flynt Barbour; sons, Gregory Douglas Flynt, of Madison, and Bradley Todd Flynt and wife, Kristi, of Stokesdale; stepsons, Brent Dallas, of Madison, Craig Dallas, of Madison, and Chad Dallas, of Cascade, VA; stepdaughter, Ginger DeeAnn Plummer, and husband William, of Madison; grandsons, Cameron and Joshua Flynt; step grandchildren, Shane Dallas, Lauren Manring, Trey Beaney, Justin Dallas, Deanna Dallas, twins Jake and Hannah Dallas, Jonathan Dallas, Ashlyn Dallas, and Sarah Dallas.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, at Colonial Funeral Home and all other times at the residence.
