GREENSBORO — Mr. Troy Eugene Wagoner, 87, of Greensboro, passed away January 1, 2013, at Moses Cone Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at George Brothers Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Wagoner was formerly employed with TCT Trucking. He loved NASCAR and owned and raced cars at Bowman Gray Stadium in the 50's and early 60's. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in WW II and member of the American Legion. Mr. Wagoner was also a very active member and former officer of Woodmen of the World (lodge 26), Greensboro.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Goodnight and his daughter, Esther "Cissy" Wagoner Paschal.

Mr. Wagoner is survived by his sons, James C. Wagoner and Ray E. Wagoner (Lois); his daughter, Jane Wagoner Baynes (Rick); five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at 4608 Cedarline Drive, Greensboro.

Memorial contributions may be made to the R. C. "Cliff" Payne Woodmen of the World Youth Camp in Randleman.
