
JAMESTOWN Mrs. Tammy Styers Owens, 54, of 103 Jordan Creek, Jamestown, NC, went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 25, 2013 at Wesley Long Hospital after battling cancer.
A service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Jamestown United Methodist Church, 403 E. Main St. Jamestown, NC, 27282.
Tammy was from Cedarburg, Wisconsin and moved to North Carolina in 1983. She had a passion for working with people and a gift of shining her light on the lives of others. Tammy worked in retail and with the elderly. She touched the lives of so many people and was a blessing to all who came in contact with her. Tammy was a loving wife and mother to her daughters. Her strong faith in God inspired her family and will live on through her loved ones.
She is survived by her loving and supportive husband, Tim Owens, loving daughters Kaylee and Ashley Styers, step-son Michael Owens and spouse Heidi, step-grandsons Nathan, Ethan and Austin Owens, mother Carol Dauss, siblings Holly Dauss Brown, Jeff Dauss and spouse Lori, Todd Dauss and spouse Mary, sister-in-law Donna Culbreth Jones and spouse Kendal, daughters' grandmother Bernice Koury Styers, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, George Dauss and her mother-in-law Dorothy Culbreth.
