GREENSBORO — Sue Millikin Owens, 93, passed away July 9, 2012 at Golden Living Center of Starmount. A funeral service will be held at Muir's Chapel United Methodist Church at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Sue was born to the late David and Sallie Millikin on March 26, 1919 in Halifax County, NC. She was a long time member of Muir's Chapel UMC. She was also a member of the Saints Alive Choir at the church. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Sue was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Elgin Owens and son, William David Owens. She is survived by her daughter, Tomi Owens and grandchildren, William Thomas Meenach and Stephen Taylor Meenach.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summitt Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
