REIDSVILLE — Ruth Halsey Lillard, 87, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
Graveside funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1821 Ashley Loop, Reidsville, with Rev. Jack Land officiating.
Mrs. Lillard was a native of Piney Creek, NC and was the daughter of the late, Stephen and Ruth Osborne Halsey. She was a committed Christian and was a member of Vance Street Baptist Church. After 43 years of service, she was retired from the American Tobacco Company. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lillard, three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her son, Michael A. Lillard of Reidsville and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal visitation.
