GREENSBORO — Mrs. Ruth Gammon Henderson, 94, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 at her residence.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Westminster Gardens.
Mrs. Henderson was born in Caswell County on December 30, 1917, a daughter of Alice and William Gammon, both deceased. She was a beloved member of Parkway Baptist Church of Greensboro for many years. She was group captain of her church and a member of the Encourage Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her sisters, Karen G. Bowen and Janie Wilkins, both of McKenney, Virginia; her brothers, Russell Gammon of Ford, Virginia and Howard Gammon of Providence Forge, Virginia; a special nephew, John D. Gammon of Tennessee; special niece, Elizabeth (Tibby) Payne of Summerfield; special friends, Kay and John Weddell, Jerry and Joyce Stanley; and many cousins, especially Mike Phillips of Toledo, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Parkway Baptist Church, 1411 Benjamin Parkway, Greensboro, NC 27408.
