GREENSBORO — Mrs. Ruby Moser Oakes, 72, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Wesley Long Community Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at George Brothers Funeral Service with Reverend Jack Oakes officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Ruby was born May 8, 1940 in Guilford County to the late Robert Rieves and Gracie McGehee Moser.
She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and loved being outdoors, working in her yard and going camping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Oakes.
Survivors include three sisters, Betty Allred (Jimmy), Tempie Peoples, Linda Kulick; a brother, Rusty Moser; and a niece, Samantha Moser, all of Greensboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
