
GREENSBORO Mr. Ronald Lee Hayden was born on December 3, 1950 to Wilburn and Willie Mae Hayden in Winston-Salem, NC. He departed this life on Sunday, March 10, 2013 after a brief illness.
A memorial service for Ronald will be 1 p.m. Monday March 18, 2013 at St. Paul Presbyterian Church 2300 Old Chapman Street, Greensboro NC 27403.
He graduated from Carver High School in 1969 and earned a BA degree from Saint Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, NC. Ronald worked as a cameraman for the Bill Boggs Show in High Point, NC. He also taught at Kiskiminetas Spring School in Saltsburg, PA and at the Greensboro Day School. He was a freelance photographer for various magazines in the Triad Area. He was a past member of the Greensboro Jaycees and TISOA Collegiate Soccer Official Assoc., and former soccer coach with Greensboro Youth Soccer Assoc. Ronald was member of the Piedmont Soccer Official Assoc., North Carolina High School Officials Assoc., North Carolina Soccer Referee Assoc. and refereed for Greensboro United Soccer Assoc.
Ronald was a member of Saint Paul Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents
Ronald is survived by five brothers, Wilburn, Jr. (Patricia) Toronto, Canada, Charles of Brooklyn, NY, Gerald (Linda) Virginia Beach, VA, Douglass and Craig of Winston-Salem, a devoted aunt Mrs. Benzena Purvis of Winston-Salem, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
