RANDLEMAN — Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Dale Farrar, age 64, passed away Tuesday February 26, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Ronnie was a 1966 graduate of Sumner High School, and served in the United States Coast Guard as a Marine Captain. He was employed with his father Wilson Farrar, for over 30 years, at Farrar Electric. In 1994 his father passed away, and Ronnie continued the family business as Ronnie Farrar Electric. He also enjoyed being the captain of a charter fishing boat in Morehead City.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 44 years Janice Farrar of Randleman; daughters Kim Farrar Smith and Wendy Farrar Clodfelter both of Greensboro; mother Jeffie Farrar of Greensboro; sister Shirley Stafford of Summerfield; brother Richard Farrar of Greensboro. Also surviving are his grandchildren Nick, Jake, Kassidy, and Brie.

The family will receive friends following the service.
