GREENSBORO — Richard S. Buse, 88, of Greensboro, NC, passed away on Wednesday evening, February 6, 2013, at Hospice Home at High Point, with his wife by his side.

Having grown up in Newton Lower Falls, MA, Mr. Buse attended prep school at The Stony Brook School in Stony Brook, NY; Tufts University in Medford, MA; and Babson College in Wellesley, MA. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served on a minesweeper during World War II.

He spent his career in human resources with Duplan Corporation, Burlington Industries, and PPG Industries before becoming a management consultant with Patrick B. Comer Associates.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Fesperman Hayes, of the home; his son, Mark Buse, of Shelby, NC; his daughter, Diane Koch, of Hickory, NC, and her children, PJ, Aaron, Sarah, Nicole, and Samantha; his daughter, Carrie Buse, of Santa Monica, CA; his son by marriage, Eric Hayes, of Greensboro, NC; and his grandsons, Will, Sam, Luke, and Matthew Hayes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
