PELHAM — Mr. Rex Allen Atkins, 49, of 10325 NC Hwy 700 passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 at his residence.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Overlook Cemetery.
Mr. Atkins was born in Reidsville on Jan. 28, 1963, a son of Haywood and Mae Atkins, both deceased. He was employed by Loparex.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Kephart Atkins of the home; his daughter, Samantha Atkins of the home; his sisters, Jane Collins and husband Tom of Reidsville, Brenda Poetzinger and husband Jack of Archdale and Linda Enigh of Myrtle Beach, SC; his brother, Wayne Atkins and wife Carol of Reidsville.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Atkins and sister, Edna Strader.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home.
