
GREENSBORO Mrs. Peggy Cooper Prevette, 80, of Greensboro, died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Beacon Place Hospice Home.
A memorial service celebrating Peggy's life will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of First Christian Church.
Peggy was a woman who loved life and her family. Peggy spent 40 years as the secretary at First Christian Church where she impacted the lives of so many people. She was a member of First Christian Church as well and was active in singing in the choir, her circle, and the Christian Women's Fellowship. Peggy also loved to golf, play bridge, and spend time on the beach. Her greatest love was for her family where she spent countless hours following her grandchildren in sporting venues around the area.
Peggy is survived by her three children, daughter Margaret Prevette of Greensboro; son Grady Prevette, Jr. and wife Jackie of Greensboro; and daughter Julie Rushing and husband Brent of Kernersville; two brothers, Rex and Gail Cooper of Kinston, NC; and G.E. and Rosemary Cooper of Beaufort, NC; three grandchildren, Jonathan White, Rachel Rushing, and Caroline Rushing; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends following the service in the basement fellowship hall of the church.
