HIGH POINT Paul James Horschler, 85, passed away February 8, 2013 at Hospice of the Piedmont, High Point. He was born November 1, 1927 to Anna M. (Resler) and James L. Horschler in Joliet, IL. Paul is a veteran of World War II having served as a Technical Sergeant, U.S. Army in the Philippines.
He graduated from DePaul University (Chicago, IL) after the war and, as a certified public accountant/controller, worked for major corporations in the Chicago area. He retired in 1993 as controller for the National Home Furnishings Association in High Point. Paul is past president of the National Association of Accountants, Fox River Valley Chapter and a Life Honorary Member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 382 (Joliet, IL). He and his wife Beverly are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary, High Point.
Paul's parents precede him in death. He is survived by his wife Beverly J. (Lindstrom) Horschler; three children, daughter Mrs. Lori A (Monte) Lee, sons David J. Horschler and Mark A. (Lena) Horschler; three grandchildren, Michelle and Alisa Eibling and Daniel Horschler; brother-in-law Harry Donald Lindstrom and nephew Donny Lindstrom (Joliet, IL); and cousins Mary Lou Roberts (Joliet, IL) and Donald Horschler (Lockport, IL).
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 15 at 7 p.m.in the Chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 East Lexington Ave, High Point. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Capital Campaign Committee, 4145 Johnson Street, High Point NC 27265.
