PETERSBURG, WV — Paul Hebron Proctor, age 84, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg. He was born in High Point, NC on August 25, 1928, the son of the late Paul H. Proctor and Hallie (Bryant) Proctor.
Mr. Proctor was a Veteran of the U. S. Army and a recipient of the WWII Victory Medal. He was also a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a degree in Journalism.
He is survived by: two daughters and local care takers, Dennis Rogers and wife, Susan, of Lahmansville, WV.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Pastor Rick Bergdoll will officiate a graveside service at the South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg, WV at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Military Honors will be presented by the Post 6454 VFW Honor Guard.
