GREENSBORO — Patsy Lee Travis Michaux, who lived like the sun in the hearts of family and friends, died at home in adoring company of her loved ones on Wednesday April 11, 2012.

She rejoiced in her 62 years on earth by providing support and comfort to any and everyone that came into her life.

Most importantly, she championed her family as the glue that kept us all together. Patsy was well known as a breathtaking wife, mother, sister, aunt, coach and friend. She will look over all of her family and friends, especially husband Jerry Michaux, son Alan Michaux, daughter Tiffany Michaux Needham and husband Shawn Needham. Grammy will continue to support and guide her two wonderful grandsons, Jesse Alan Michaux and Andrew Travis Needham, through their individual journeys in life. She often voiced her great fortune for her family members and friends.

There have been many wonderful times shared with this amazing woman that will continue as she has requested a celebration of life gathering in her honor on Saturday May 12, 2012 at 4 p.m..

This celebration will be held at the home of Jerry and Patsy Michaux, 6016 Macedonia Loop Road, Liberty NC 27298.

Patsy was a member and founder of Freewill Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC. Her faith in Christ was evident until her last breath on earth. She touched the lives of many through her wonderful Christ like example and through the spoken and unspoken words of God.

We appreciate the many thoughts, prayers and support provided through this journey. To dedicate Patsy's guidance of coaching and wonderful role model there will be a memorial bench and rose bushes placed at West Market Street Baseball Stadium at Lindley Park in her honor.

Instead of flowers sent to the family, please plant a rose bush and/or make a donation towards the Memorial Bench to Greensboro Beautiful, 501 Yanceyville Street, Greensboro NC 27405, in her honor.

We miss you dearly!!
