
HIGH POINT Mrs. Norma Taylor Kirk passed away August 17, 2012.
She was born in High Point on June 14, 1933 to Mr. William Lee and Mrs. Doris E. Taylor. She was a lifelong resident of High Point. She graduated in 1951 from High Point High School.
She worked for 22 years at GTCC where she made many lifelong friends. Norma had a warm, fun and loving heart. She was blessed with a wonderful 19 year relationship and marriage to Mr. Ken G. Kirk.
Her children will be forever grateful for his faithful and never-ending love which brought their Mother so much happiness.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Phillip Taylor. Those who are here to cherish memories of Norma are her husband, Ken G. Kirk of High Point, her son Freddie Glaesner and his wife Beverly, a daughter Terri G. Flynn and husband Olin of Chattanooga, TN, a daughter Pamela G.
McClure of High Point, brother Mike Taylor, her four cherished grandchildren and three dear great grandchildren. Also included are her husband's three children and seven grandchildren who were very special to her.
Norma's family would like to take this time to give a heartfelt Thank You to every one of the staff of Graybrier Nursing and Rehabilition Center who provided special care for her.
The family will receive friends and family at Sechrest Funeral Home, Sunday August 19, 2012 between 6 p.m. until 8 pm.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in the Chapel at Sechrest Funeral Home, Monday August 20, 2012 at 11a.m. Following Monday's service, Norma Taylor Kirk will be laid to rest at Church of Our Savior in Lincolnton, NC.
