PLEASANT GARDEN — Nora Marie Lunsford Stepp, 90, of Pleasant Garden died Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Moses H. Come Memorial Hospital.
She was born January 21, 1922, in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Isaac and Ella Jarvis Lunsford. She retired from Dow Corning in Greensboro and was a faithful and devoted homemaker who enjoyed visiting with her family. She was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church in Pleasant Garden, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on November 23, 2004, by her husband, Archie Stepp; three sisters, Gertha Foster, Hessie Howard, and Rose Proctor; and three brothers, Ray Lunsford, Colonel Lunsford, and Herbert Lunsford.
She is survived by a son, Brent Stepp of Pleasant Garden; three sisters, El Heintz and Lora Rupard both of Statesville, and Clara Templeton of Olin; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Lunsford of Union Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service celebrating Nora's life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2013, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home in Statesville with the Revs. Kestler Ruth and Allen Lunsford officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the service.
Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Iredell Memorial Gardens in Statesville.
