MADISON — Monty Dean White, 53, of 720 Bailey Road, died Monday, December 3, 2012, at Duke Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard DeHart officiating. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church cemetery at a later time.

Mr. White was born November 26, 1959, in Rockingham County, to Betty Williams Martin and the late Coy White. He was a 1978 graduate of Madison-Mayodan High School and was a self-employed painter.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by step-father, Wayne Martin.

Survivors include, along with his mother, daughter, Tessa W. Joyce (Darrin); brother, Terry White; sisters, Pam Cox and Carol Haynes (Gerald); and grandchildren, Carter Joyce and Hallie Joyce.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, prior to the service at Colonial Funeral Home and all other times at the home of Carol and Gerald Haynes at 711 Bailey Road, Madison.

Memorials may be made to Colonial Funeral Home, 127 Ellisboro Road, Madison, NC 27025 for funeral expenses.
