GREENSBORO — Mimie Lee Jeffries Epps, 80, passed away February 11, 2013. After battling a prolonged illness for several years, she peacefully went to rest while surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Mimie Epps will be Friday, February 15, 2013, 2 p.m., in the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 East Market Street, Greensboro.
Mimie was preceded in death by: her mother, Gracie Jeffries; father, Nabies Oglesby; husband, Maylon Epps; son, Douglas Basil Epps; granddaughters, Kimberly Michelle Payden and Elizabeth Renee Shinault.
Mimie is survived by six children, Steven, Audrey, Christopher, Brenda, William Howard, and Mazzie Pauline; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-gradchildren; and a host of cousins and friends.
