GREENSBORO — Mrs. Mary Sharpe Simpson was born in Greensboro, NC on November 10, 1939.
Funeral service for Mrs. Simpson will be 12 p.m. Friday February 22, 2013 at Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church.
Her mother was Connie Sharpe and father was Waddell Williamson, both preceding her in death. She attended Guilford County Schools and graduated from Dudley High School in 1957. She married John Simpson in 1962 and shared a blissful union for 34 years until his passing in 1996. She passed away peacefully in the home after a lengthy illness on Friday, February 15, 2013.
She is survived by four daughters: Christine Simpson, Connie Davis, Amena Simpson, and Angela Witherspoon (William), two sons: Namon Simpson and John Simpson, Jr. (Dawn), six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Family viewing and family visitation will begin at 11 a.m. prior to the service. Flowers may be sent to Hinnant Funeral Service.
