SILER CITY — Mary Athelene Clapp Brantley, 89, formerly of Siler City died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at GrayBrier Nursing and Retirement Center, Trinity.
She is survived by two daughters: Diana W. Hairr and husband, Frank of Climax, NC, Cheryl Powers and husband, David of Southern Pines, NC; one sister, Orpha Lee Phillips of Siler City, NC; grandchildren, Steve Powers and wife, Tiffany, Rachel Patterson and husband, Andy, Kathy Bonyun and husband, David, Emily Hendricks and husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Sam and Ben Bonyun, Mary Elizabeth and Sarah Hendricks, Savannah, Lauren and Hadley Powers, Peyton and Abram Patterson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Denny officiating. Burial will follow in Chatham Memorial Park, Siler City.
