ASHEVILLE — Margie Foster passed gracefully into her Father's arms on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

Born and raised in Asheville, NC. Margie graduated Woodfin High School as Valedictorian, and received her Associates Degree in Business from Mars Hill College where she met her husband of 63 years Tom Foster.

Margie's life centered on loving her Lord, her family, and all those that God brought into her life. She treated everyone with a love and grace that made them feel like family, and she radiated a peacefulness that was felt by all. Contentment, gratefulness and grace are words that describe her well. She continued to be active: traveling, exercising, and participating in activities with her church and at River Landings where she lived.

She raised a wonderful family of 4 boys, Tom (& Beverly, Greensboro), David (& Mary, Raleigh), Jeff (& Judy, Greensboro), Chuck (& Tammy, Kernersville), and 1 daughter, Sharon Milligan (Hickory). She was very proud of her 9 grandchildren: Erin Foster, Katie Foster, Christine Foster, Jason Foster, Emily Harmon, Scott Foster, Brian Foster, Mikala Milligan, Ashley Milligan.

Her husband, John Thomas Foster, Sr, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairfield United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jill Auman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends in the church fellowship hall Saturday from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fairfield United Methodist Church, 1515 NC 62 West, High Point, NC 27263. Online condolences may be made on Mrs. Foster's memorial page at www.cumbyfuneral.com Arrangements by Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point.
