GREENSBORO — Mrs. Margaret Waynick Ganelos, 90, a resident of McLeansville died Thursday March 14, 2013 at the Hospice Home of Alamance in Burlington. Mrs. Ganelos was born October 18, 1922 in Guilford Co., the daughter of Russell and Lucie Coltrane Waynick. Margaret was a graduate of Rankin High School. She was employed with Belk for 35 years before retiring. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Hines Chapel.
She was married to Louis Ganelos who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Russell Waynick.
Surviving are one brother, Wallace Waynick and wife Frances of Falston, MD; sister-in-law, Iris L. Waynick of McLeansville; nine nieces and nephews and her caregivers, William and Carol Johnson of Brown Summit.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Pastor John R. Marks. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until service time.
