CLIMAX — Mrs. Margaret Monnett Hackett, 75, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Margaret was born in Guilford County on July 1, 1937. She retired from Jefferson Pilot/ Lincoln National Life Insurance. She was a member of Bethlehem UMC and the Wesleyan Circle. Margaret enjoyed working outside, loved to travel, especially abroad, looked forward to beach trips with friends and was an avid sports fan. She was a loving wife and aunt and will be remembered as a good listener who always had a smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Irene Jones Monnett; and nephew, Robbie Monnett.
Mrs. Hackett is survived by her husband, Bobby J. Hackett; brother, Jerry Monnett and wife Karon; sister-in-law, Shirley Hackett; niece, Cindy Clinch and husband Brett; nephew, Scott Hackett; and great nephew, Ryan Clinch, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Forbis and Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel.
