MADISON — Mrs. Margaret Bailey Moore was called to her heavenly home Friday, February 01, 2013, at Jacob's Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, just two months shy of her 100th birthday.

A 2:30 p.m. Graveside service will be held Sunday, February 3, 2013, at New Lebanon Congregational Christian Church Cemetery. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall.

Margaret was a Life long resident of Madison and the wife of Paul Moore. She was the oldest living member of New Lebanon Congregational Christian Church, and was very active as long as her health permitted.

Margaret and Paul were Dairy farmers and at age 50 she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse and worked for several years in local hospitals.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Paul Moore in 2000; and several brothers and sisters.

Margaret and Paul were never blessed with children but were loved by all their nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her nephew, Ronnie Webster and wife Martha; their children, Dr. Misti Webster Williams and husband, Jon, Cindi Webster Hardison, Ronda Philpott and husband, Tom, who were her primary caregivers for over 20 years. Also, local survivors are her nephew, Dr. Don Moore and wife, Sue of Stoneville, niece; Charlene Martin and husband, Mike, special nephew, David Barker and wife, Marsha and many other nieces and nephews.

Margaret was a lady in every sense of the word. She was an amazing woman and will be missed.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at New Lebanon Congregational Christian Church and other times at the home of Ronnie and Martha Webster.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Jacob's Creek for their compassion and loving care.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Jacob's Creek Activities Department, 1721 Bald Hill Loop, Madison, NC 27025 or Rockingham County Humane Society, 205 Boone Road, Eden, NC 27288, in memory of her beloved canine companion Brownie, her chocolate lab.

Ray Funeral Home is serving the Moore family.
